HOW IS IT SAFE TO VISIT THE HOLY LAND AND ISRAEL?
The Palestinian Authority and Israeli tourism ministries work together on tourism in the Palestinian territories in a Joint Committee. the Holy Land and Israel administrates the movement of tourists into the West Bank and out of it. Foreign tourism is not restricted to the West Bank.
IS TOURIST VISA REQUIRED?
To inter the state of Israel is not required tourist visa for those citizens of the following Americas countries. One condition must be performed; valid passport for at least 6 months at time of travel to Israel. Tourists may stay in the country for 3 months and may request for additional 3 months from the Ministry of Interior in Israel. Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the, United States of America Uruguay.

WHAT IS THE CLIMATE IN THE HOLY LAND AND ISRAEL?
The climate of these two countries is pleasant most of the year. Winter lasts three months (December-March). The warmest temperatures in July and August. During the rest of the year the climate is temperate. Middle East summer is facilitated by the breeze from the Mediterranean Sea. Summer temperatures reach 35 degrees Celsius and in winter the temperature can drop to zero. Visitors are advised to wear heavy and warm clothing in winter, while in summer it is advisable to wear light clothing and sweaters for the evening. In addition, a head cover and sunscreen are essential for protection against sunburn. When is the best season to travel to these countries? It is an enjoyable place in any season. The best months are (April to June) then (September to November). To notice that natural blossoms and growing grow in these periods which makes outings extremely peaceful and breathtakingly beautiful.
WHAT MUST WE WEAR WHEN VISITING THE HOLY PLACES??
At holy sites, for men and women alike, nearly all the legs and shoulders need to be covered. No tank tops or sleeveless shirts/blouses/dresses. Caprice below the knee for women can work. Long shorts for men may also work, but it is preferable to wear pants I would recommend wearing conservative clothes.

WHAT KIND OF CURRENCY THE HOLY LAND AND ISRAEL USE?
New Shekel (ILS) Bills are ILS200, 100, 50, and 20. One ILS is equivalent to 100 agorot, and there are 100 agorot coins (1 shekel), 50 agorot (half shekel) 10 agorot (ten cent shekel), 5 agorot (five cent shekel) and 1 agorot (a shekel cent).
DO THESE COUNTRIES ACCEPT DOLLARS & EUROS? ARE CREDIT CARDS ALSO ACCEPTED?
Dollars and Euros are widely accepted in shops in the Holy Land and Israel. Credit cards are also accepted.
HOW CAN I COMMUNICATE WITH THE LOCALS?
Although the official languages are Arabic and Hebrew, due to the large influx of tourists, it is very common to find people who know English and Spanish and other languages.
IS IT PROBLEMATIC TO PASS THROUGH THE CHECKPOINTS FOR THE TOURISTS?
International tourists have no problem to get through the checkpoints. Simply show your passport and pass control bags.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBILITIES TO TRAVEL TO NEARBY COUNTRY?
Israel controls all borders with neighboring countries. You can travel without any problem to Jordan and Egypt. But you are restricted to travel to Lebanon and Syria because of the political disputes between Israel and these countries.
CAN TOURISTS DRINK TAP WATER?
Yes, but, you can also buy bottled water everywhere. It is important to drink plenty, especially on hot days.
